LOS ANGELES THUNDER UNVEILS FRANCHISE NAME & IDENTITY AHEAD OF 2027 DEBUT
Newest Major League Volleyball franchise reveals its brand and creative direction as it builds momentum toward its inaugural season in Los Angeles and Greater Southern California.

The franchise is led by Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, majority owner and founder of the Los Angeles Thunder and a minority stakeholder in the Los Angeles Lakers, alongside Ben Priest, who will serve as governor and managing partner. Priest has been one of the architects of MLV and previously served as the Governing Owner of the Omaha Supernovas before the launch of the Los Angeles Thunder venture. Alisha Childress, a respected and rising star among volleyball coaches, will serve as the team’s first head of competition and head coach. Lindsay Amstutz, a veteran sports executive and Los Angeles native, will serve as Team President.
