Professional Experience

  • Joins the Rise after six seasons playing across the world in China, Italy, Japan, Romania, France, and her home country of Slovenia.
  • Represented the Slovenia national team at the European Golden and Silver Leagues and numerous youth tournaments, including the U19 World Championships.
  • Helped Slovenia win the U18 European Youth Olympic Festival and finish second at the U19 European Championships.
  • Runner-up finish in the Romanian Cup with Rapid București during the 2023-24 season.
  • Third-place finish in the Romanian league in 2023-24, as well as the Slovenian 1A. DOL in her rookie season with SIP Šempeter during the 2020-21 campaign.

  • Played four seasons at the University of Pittsburgh, finishing with 1,135 kills on a .288 hitting percentage, 868 digs, 254 blocks, and 122 aces.
  • 2018 AVCA Third Team All-American
  • 2017 AVCA All-America Honorable Mention
  • Two-time All-ACC First Team selection (2017, 2018).
  • Helped Pittsburgh win its third straight ACC title in 2019 with a perfect 18-0 conference record.
  • During her time with the Panthers, Pittsburgh went 111-20 and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament in all four seasons.

  • Daughter of Zlatko Markovic and Smilja Vozlic.
  • Has one older brother, Borut, who was also a professional volleyball player and is now the president of the SIP Šempeter volleyball club that they both played for.
  • Started playing volleyball at seven years old as a middle blocker.
  • Also played soccer and handball growing up.
  • Loves to hike and being outdoors.
  • Favorite food is sushi.
  • Likes to read psychological books about atomic habits, mindset, etc. or books about other successful athletes.
