Media Information

Members of the media must email requests for single-match credentials to the Rise public relations office no later than 24 hours prior to match time. The names of individuals covering the game must be specified. Freelancers must provide proof of assignment. Credentials will be left at the media/service entrance on the southeast side of Van Andel Arena. Credentials will not be issued to family members, non-working media, or anyone not associated with accredited media organizations. Season credentials will be granted only to media who cover the Rise on a regular basis.

Limited reserved parking is available to media in the Louis-Campau parking ramp at 43 Monroe Ave. NW, a few blocks from the arena. To request parking, contact the public relations office a day in advance.

The media will call table is located at the southeast media/service entrance of Van Andel Arena (off Ionia Street). Media, scouts and broadcasters must use this entrance on game nights and should be prepared to present photo identification if requested. Credentials are available from two hours prior to game time until first serve. After that time, credentials may be picked up at the public will call windows in the main lobby of the arena (Fulton St.).

The press box at Van Andel Arena is located on the fourth floor above the upper-level suites on the east side of the building. It can be accessed by taking the elevator at the media entrance to level 3, then turning left and walking up the flight of stairs. All seating is assigned. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available and all notes/match information can be accessed through grrise.com. Some printed copies will also be available.

Complimentary arena concession vouchers are available to all credentialed media. They may be obtained from the attendant at the media/service entrance from two hours prior to match time until first serve. After that time, please see the Rise PR staff in the press box.

Photographers wishing to cover Rise home matches should follow the aforementioned procedure for media, submitting their emailed request no later than 24 hours prior to match time. Photographers may shoot only from areas designated by the public relations office, and on a space-available basis. Freelance photographers must provide proof of assignment. Fans and others without photo credentials may not use cameras that extend over 80 mm, detachable lenses over 80 mm, or flash.

Requests for all Rise player and coach interviews, pre-match or otherwise, should be made to the Rise public relations office. Post-match interviews will be conducted in an interview room located down the hallway from the team's locker room in the southwest corner of the arena.

Rise practices are mainly held at MSA Fieldhouse (5435 28th St Ct SE) or Van Andel Arena. They are open to media. Consult the public relations office for exact dates and times and notify them if you plan to attend.
