MLV Minnesota Signs Quinn Pelland

SAINT PAUL, Minn. — MLV Minnesota General Manager and Head Coach Pedro Mendes has announced that the team has signed setter Quinn Pelland to a contract for the 2027 season.

Pelland has represented Canada internationally for the past four years, including at the 2023 NORCECA Championship, Olympic qualification events, and the 2025 Women's World Championship. This summer, she will be a member of the Canadian national team at the Volleyball Nations League tournament for the fifth time.

Quinn is an exciting young talent. She has already accomplished so much in her career, and it’s evident that she has yet to reach her ceiling. Throughout our conversations, her energy, passion, and determination to succeed were impossible to miss,” said Mendes. “She’s been a member of the Canadian national team for the past four years, competing extensively at the highest level of the sport. Her experience in major events such as the Volleyball Nations League and the World Championships, combined with her athleticism, competitive mindset, and ability to run an effective offense, makes her a tremendous addition to our team.”

Pelland has spent the last three seasons playing professionally in Spain and France.

"I am grateful and excited to take this next step in my career and play for MLV Minnesota," said Pelland. "As I learn more about the roster and the coaching staff, I’m confident this group can achieve success.”

A native of Wanham, Alberta, Pelland played collegiate volleyball for Mount Royal University in Calgary, where she served as team captain, earned Canada West First Team All-Star recognition, and was named a U SPORTS All-Canadian.

MLV Minnesota will begin league play in January 2027. To place a season ticket deposit for MLV Minnesota and for more information on the team, please visit MLVMinnesota.com and follow us on X, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
