Major League Volleyball is proud of the role the San Diego Mojo has played as one of the league’s original franchises over our first three seasons. San Diego has been an important part of building the foundation of professional volleyball in the United States.
We are grateful to Gary Jacobs for his leadership and commitment. He stepped in during a critical period for the team and has been a strong partner in helping position both the team and the league for the future, including earning a playoff berth this season and competing in our Championship in Dallas next week.
Major League Volleyball is entering a historic new chapter. Earlier this season, we surpassed one million fans in attendance in league history and delivered record-setting viewership, underscoring the growing demand for professional volleyball. In 2027, the league will expand to 12 teams nationwide, significantly growing our footprint and long-term opportunity.
San Diego remains one of the most vibrant volleyball communities in the country, and we believe strongly in its long-term potential at the professional level. We are actively exploring strategies for the market, building on the momentum established by the Mojo.
