Todd Frederickson Expands Role to Oversee Business Operations for MLV Minnesota; Fordy Leipold Elevated to Director of Marketing for MLV Minnesota
SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota Sports & Entertainment (MSE) and Major League Volleyball (MLV) Minnesota announced today that Minnesota Wild Senior Vice President of Marketing, Todd Frederickson, will expand his role and oversee the President of MLV Minnesota and business operations. Frederickson will continue to serve as Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Minnesota Wild and will report to Chief Executive Officer Matt Majka.
Frederickson is in his 13th season with the Wild organization. Under his leadership, the marketing team has earned multiple Emmy Awards for its digital programming, including original shows, documentaries, and in‑game entertainment. He also oversees the team’s proactive public relations and crisis communications strategies.
Since joining the organization as Iowa Wild President in 2013, Frederickson has played a vital role in advancing hockey in Des Moines. Under his guidance, the Iowa Wild has become one of the premier franchises in the American Hockey League (AHL) and has earned awards, including Team of the Year, Social Media Department of the Year, Outstanding Fan Experience, and Best Unique Game Operations Promotion in 2019.
During the 2018– 2019 season, Frederickson was honored with the Thomas Ebright Award for his outstanding contributions to the AHL.

In addition, MSE announced the promotion of Minnesota Wild Senior Marketing Manager, Fordy Leipold, to Director of Marketing for MLV Minnesota. In his role, Leipold will oversee all marketing functions for MLV Minnesota and will report to the Team President.
Leipold joined the Minnesota Wild in 2022, working in Digital Marketing, Corporate Partnerships, and, most recently, in Revenue Marketing.
Prior to joining the Minnesota Wild, Leipold was the Associate Manager of Marketing at SC Johnson, managing brand strategies for OFF!, Windex, and Ziploc.
