SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Jan. 27, 2026) – The San Diego Mojo are excited to announce Kristen Paulius as the team’s new Head Athletic Trainer. Paulius brings top-tier experience and a passion for keeping athletes performing at their best.
Paulius joins the Mojo after serving with the San Diego State Athletics Medicine Staff, where she joined the Aztecs in March 2024 as an assistant athletic trainer. She primarily worked with the volleyball team while also handling insurance coordination, earning a reputation for her hands-on care, dedication to injury prevention, and support across multiple sports.
Before SDSU, Paulius spent two and a half years at Keene State College, providing athletic training for a wide range of programs, including field hockey, golf, cheer, men’s basketball, e-sports, women’s lacrosse, and softball.
A native of Downers Grove, Illinois, Paulius earned her bachelor’s in athletic training from the University of Missouri and a master’s in applied human development from Boston University.
“Kristen’s experience and dedication to athlete health make her a perfect fit for the Mojo,” said Mojo head coach Alisha Childress. “We’re thrilled to have her leading our training program and supporting our players all season long.”
