ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Valkyries, reigning 2025 Major League Volleyball Champions, have officially signed two rookies from the 2025 draft class: middle blockers Bre Kelley and Colby Neal. In corresponding roster moves, the Valkyries have waived setter Gabrielle Benda and middle blocker M’Kaela White.
A 6-foot-4 middle blocker from the University of Pittsburgh, Bre Kelley arrives in Orlando boasting a loaded college resume. Kelley began her career at the University of Florida in 2021, earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors and capturing gold with the U21 USA National Team at the 2022 Pan American Cup. After transferring to Pittsburgh in 2023, Kelley suffered a season-ending injury but returned stronger than ever. She played a pivotal role in helping the Panthers reach their fifth consecutive NCAA Final Four in 2025.
Kelley recorded 155 blocks in 2024 and 165 blocks in 2025, earning 2025 ACC Defensive Player of the Year honors and ranking fourth all-time in Pitt single-season blocks. Her dominant presence at the net and well-rounded offensive game earned her First Team All-ACC honors in both 2024 and 2025, as well as AVCA Honorable Mention All-American recognition in her final collegiate season.
Joining Kelley in Orlando is Colby Neal, a 6-foot-4 middle blocker from Arizona State University, who is coming off a standout senior season with the Sun Devils. Neal spent four seasons at the University of Oregon (2021–2024), where she totaled 229 blocks and 237 kills and helped lead the Ducks to a Regional Semifinal appearance in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
Following the 2024 season, Neal transferred to Arizona State and immediately made an impact, helping the Sun Devils secure their second consecutive Big 12 Championship. She finished the 2025 season fourth on the team in kills (167) and first in blocks (151). Neal capped off her collegiate career with All-Big 12 First Team honors and AVCA Honorable Mention All-American recognition.
