Get-To-Know Player Spotlight: Elli McKissock

ATLANTA, Ga. (September 18, 2025) – On August 12^th, the Atlanta Vibe signed libero Elli McKissock as a free agent. Elli is a 2024 graduate of the University of Florida, where she left a phenomenal mark on the Gators volleyball program. Elli holds the program record for both career digs (2,147) and sets played (534), making history in the program. The Florida volleyball progam has 25 SEC Championship titles and 8 NCAA Final Four appearances. During her five-year collegiate career, the Gators reached the NCAA Sweet Sixteen four times, with Elli playing a key role in each postseason run.

Originally from Windermere, Florida, Elli brought home a number of individual accolades throughout her time at Florida. She was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team in 2020, earned AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention in 2021, was selected for the Team USA Collegiate National Training Team in 2022, and capped off her career with an SEC All-Second Team nod in 2024. Her name is etched throughout the Florida Gators record book, ranking 2nd in career matches played (146), 3rd in career digs per set (4.02), 8th in career service aces (144), and tied for 4th in most digs in a single match (31).

Off the court, Elli is known for her bright personality and her love of all things fun and family-oriented. She became a proud cat mom in her senior year when she adopted her beloved kitten, Bud. While curled up on the couch, the two love to watch the magical Harry Potter movie series, with the timeless classic Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone being Elli’s favorite. She’s recently made a trip to Harry Potter World to experience her love for the movies in person, grabbing a cup of butterbeer to sip on while enjoying the magic.

Most recently, Elli stepped into a new role as a first-time aunt to her baby niece, Charley. Her older sister, Matti Oliver, had sweet Charley a little over a year ago, enjoying lots of time in the Florida sun, swimming at the pool. Volleyball is a huge part of Elli’s family, as Matti competed collegiately as well at Georgia Tech from 2018-2021, earning various honors including 2021 AVCA All-American Honorable Mention and 2019 ACC Setter of the Year. 

This year, Elli was proposed to by her college sweetheart, Jac Caglianone, who played baseball at Florida. Jac was drafted to the Kansas City Royals in the 2024 MLB draft, being the sixth overall draft pick. On June 3^rd, Jac made his professional debut in the MLB for the Royals, with Elli cheering him on from the stands for the special day. Atlanta is ready to welcome Elli to the upcoming season!
