ORLANDO, Fla.- Orlando Valkyries, the reigning league champions, bolstered their star-studded lineup with the addition of former Vegas Thrill All-Star Hannah Maddux. The 6’2 Outside Hitter from San Antonio, Texas brings a high-flying attack that Valkyries fans will quickly love.
“Hannah is an explosive, dynamic outside with so much potential,” head coach Amy Pauly said. “She’s such a good person that our fans will quickly fall in love with and to be able to add her with Kaz and Brittany in the front row, it gives us the opportunity to be more well-rounded. Our excitement for this group couldn’t be higher.”
Maddux comes over after spending two seasons with the Vegas Thrill. Drafted with the 26th overall pick in the 2023 draft out of South Alabama, Maddux became an All-Star in 2025, leading Vegas in points (419, fourth in the league), kills (360, fifth in the league), and service aces (18, sixth in the league).
Before turning pro, Maddux starred at the University of South Alabama (2019-2023), where she was a two-time SBC First-Team selection (2022, 2023), and a SBC Second-Team selection in 2021. She tallied 1,467 kills, 64 blocks, 1,733 points, 98 service aces and 392 digs over her NCAA career.
“I chose Orlando because of the opportunity to play with some of the best players in our league and help Coach Pauly and the Valks bring back-to-back championships to the beautiful city of Orlando,” said Maddux. “I can’t wait to get started and enter this wonderfully competitive environment!”
