The Atlanta Vibe became the second league team to clinch a postseason berth with a 3-0 victory over Orlando on Saturday night. It was the 10th consecutive win overall for Atlanta, setting a PVF record for the longest winning streak in league history.
Outside hitter Micaya White led the team with 12 kills on a .357 hitting efficiency, while fellow outside Leah Edmond contributed 10 kills at a .292 efficiency and a team-high two aces. Middle blockers McKenna Vicini and Khori Louis each added six kills, hitting .333 and .250, respectively. Opposite hitter Aiko Jones also tallied six kills with a .333 efficiency. As a team, the Vibe finished with a .314 hitting mark.
The Vibe outplayed the Valkyries in every statistical category with the exception of services aces, falling just one short in that department.
Foster, the league’s leader in service aces with 57, tied a league record with six service aces in a three-set match. This is the second time she has tied a league mark, where she recorded six service aces in a four-set match back on February 8 versus the Indy Ignite.
