Grand Rapids’ Briggs-Romine Tabbed For Weekly Accolades

Grand Rapids outside hitter Paige Briggs-Romine turned in a match-high 15 points in a sweep of the Vegas Thrill to earn Pro Volleyball Federation Player of the Week presented by Franklin Sports.

Briggs-Romine  posted 13 kills, one block, and one ace in Grand Rapids’ three-set win over Vegas on Saturday. The Rise dominated, holding the Thrill to just 50 total points in a 25-17, 25-16, 25-17 sweep.

The outside hitter also recorded 12 digs and posted a 56 percent positive pass rating, securing her seventh double-double of the season. This is her first career PVF weekly honor.

Briggs-Romine and the Rise will be in action in week 14 on Thursday, April 10 at Orlando and Saturday, April 12 at Indy. Thursday’s match with the Valkyries will air on Roku.

Briggs-Romine will receive a Kendra Scott Volleyball Pendant Necklace in white mother-of-pearl. The award is part of PVF’s partnership with Kendra Scott to advance a mutually shared goal of empowering girls and young women and supporting organizations with that same mission.
