Indy Ignite setter Sydney Hilley turned in a season-high in assists and her 10th double-double of the 2025 campaign to earn Pro Volleyball Federation Player of the Week presented by Franklin Sports.
Hilley registered a new season-high of 68 assists in a five-set win over Columbus on Thursday, March 20. Additionally, she totaled 11 digs, giving her a 10th double-double match of the year. Hilley also contributed a block and an ace. Her efforts at the setter position led to five Ignite players finishing with double-digit kill performances.
On Saturday, March 22 was a leader again as the Ignite posted a 3-0 road sweep of her former team and defending PVF champion, the Omaha Supernovas. The setter recorded 40 assists, seven digs, two blocks and one kill.
Hilley leads the PVF in both assists (908) and assists per set (11.95). She is also tied for fifth in the league in service aces (13) while placing second in the league in active career assists with 1,540. This is her second career PVF weekly honor and first this season.
The Ignite have three weekly award winners during the 2025 campaign, tying the league mark for the second-most by a team in a single season. Hilley and the Ignite will be in action in week 12 on Sunday, March 30 when they visit the Orlando Valkyries.
Hilley will receive a Kendra Scott Volleyball Pendant Necklace in white mother-of-pearl. The award is part of PVF’s partnership with Kendra Scott to advance a mutually shared goal of empowering girls and young women and supporting organizations with that same mission.
