A Rapacz block made it 16-11 a little later on to keep the momentum going for the Fury. The Mojo did their best to make it a game, but could not catch the fast paced Fury taking the opening set 25-20.

SET TWO

San Diego responded in set two opening up a 4-1 advantage to begin the set. The home side continued to pile on the score, jumping out to a 7-2 lead. Columbus opened with a 3-0 run before the Mojo returned the favor with three straight points of their own. After a short period of back-and-forth, San Diego kept their momentum going with four straight points for a 9-5 lead. Once the hosts led, there was no catching them as they enjoyed scoring run after scoring run leading 15-10 later in the set. At the end, the Fury could only manage 15 points falling 25-15, the second lowest amount of points in a set so far this season.
