ATLANTA, Ga. (March 18, 2025) If you’ve been to an Atlanta Vibe game, you’ve probably seen him—Carlos Anzola, better known as Posterboy. From the very first match, he’s been a day-one supporter, bringing his signature posters, infectious energy, and dedication to the team. He shows up early to every game and is often one of the last fans to leave, making sure to cheer on the team until the very end.
How It All Started
Carlos’ passion for volleyball began when he became the manager for his high school team. Through that experience, he developed a deep love for the sport, and when he heard Atlanta was getting a professional volleyball team, he knew he had to be there. "When I found out Atlanta was getting a team, I thought, ‘I have to go.’ So, I brought a poster. That’s when Karis Watson gave me the nickname ‘Posterboy,’ and I’ve been bringing one ever since."
It didn’t take long for Carlos to become a staple at Vibe home games, known for his creative posters, nonstop enthusiasm, and genuine love for the team.
What Makes the Atlanta Vibe Special?
Having attended every home match, Carlos has seen every team in the league play, but there’s something about the Atlanta Vibe that stands out. "Don’t get me wrong, they have some unreal talent, but what really makes them special is their heart. The way they connect with each other, the way they support one another, it’s something you can feel when you watch them play."
Beyond their performance on the court, Carlos admires the players’ commitment to their fans. "They’ll play a tough five-set match, finish around 10 p.m., and still come out to sign autographs and have real conversations with every single fan. They treat everyone like family, and that’s what makes this team different."
A Moment to Remember
Out of all the incredible memories he’s had as a Vibe superfan, one stands out the most—the day the Atlanta Vibe surprised him at his school. "That was unforgettable. Just knowing they thought about me and taking the time to visit meant so much."
The Future of the Vibe
While Carlos loves everything about the team, he has one big hope for the future—a bigger fan base. "They had an incredible season last year, but I was a little sad to see that the fan base didn’t grow as much as I hoped. These players work so hard, and they deserve to have even more people supporting them. But one thing I can say—the fans who are here are some of the most genuine people."
As professional women’s volleyball continues to rise in the U.S., Carlos is excited to see the Vibe grow and inspire more fans to come out and experience the energy of a match firsthand. "If you haven’t been to a game yet, you need to go. The atmosphere, the energy, the players—it’s something special. And trust me, once you come to one match, you’ll be hooked."
