The Orlando Valkyries will look to build on their dominant first match, as they travel to Fishers, Indiana, to face the Indy Ignite on Saturday, January 11 at 7 p.m. ET. The match will take place at Fishers Event Center and will be live streamed on YouTube.
This will mark the first ever match between these two teams, as Indy begins their inaugural season in Pro Volleyball Federation.
Valkyries Players to Watch:
Adora Anae- After a successful 2024 season where she finished first on the Valkyries in kills (311), Adora Anae continued to show why she’s one of the best attackers in the league. On opening night against San Diego, Anae continued to show her aggressiveness as she collected 14 kills. She graduated from the University of Utah, where she became the first Utah player to earn back-to-back All-American honors, as well as posting an all-time school record with 66 career double-doubles.
Kaz Brown - The reigning Pro Volleyball Federation Middle Blocker of the Year, picked up right where she left off 2024, providing nine kills and one block on a .421 efficiency percentage in the season opener against San Diego Mojo on January 9. From the University of Kentucky, Brown finished her collegiate career holding the record for total blocks, solo blocks, and block assists. She also is a three-time AVCA All-Region honoree.
Ignite Players to Watch
Leketor Member-Meneh - Joins the Ignite with three years of professional experience as an outside hitter, playing for Futura Volley Giovani Busto Arsizio (Italy) for two seasons in 2022 and 2023, and joining the Atlanta Vibe in 2024, for Pro Volleyball Federation’s inaugural season. During her time with the Vibe, she logged 156 kills, 177 digs, 12 aces and 17 total blocks.
Sydney Hilley- Comes over to Indy after making history with Omaha last season, winning the first ever Pro Volleyball Federation Championship. The setter played a big part for the Supernovas, earning Postseason Most Valuable Player honors, where she tallied 46 assists against the San Diego Mojo in the semi-final match and 40 assists in the championship match against the Grand Rapids Rise. Hilley also played professionally in Puerto Rico in 2022 and competed for the USA National Team in 2023. At the University of Wisconsin, Hilley was named Big Ten Setter of the Year for three consecutive seasons (2019-21), as well as finishing her career ranking fourth all-time in assists with 4,680.
