After leading the Grand Rapids Rise to a reverse sweep victory, outside hitter Carli Snyder has been named the Pro Volleyball Federation Player of the Week presented by Franklin Sports.
Snyder had a season-high 22 points in helping the Rise rally from a 0-2 deficit for a 3-2 victory over the Columbus Fury on Sunday. She finished with 17 kills (.429), seven digs, three aces and two blocks in the match. Snyder is fourth in the league with six aces and leads the Rise with 53 kills this season.
In addition to ranking among the PVF service aces leaders, Snyder ended the week 10th in Pro Volleyball Federation in kills per set at 2.94. This is her first career PVF weekly award.
Snyder and the Rise will host Orlando on Thursday, January 30 and San Diego on Sunday, February 2 in the fourth week of PVF action.
