Lilly Announced As Presenting Sponsor For The Indy Ignite Inaugural Season

FISHERS, Ind. (Dec. 12, 2024) — Indy Ignite Pro Volleyball, the state’s first professional volleyball team, is thrilled to announce Eli Lilly and Company as the Presenting Sponsor for its highly anticipated inaugural season. This partnership marks a significant milestone for the team and highlights Lilly’s continued commitment to advancing health equity, wellness, and community engagement in Central Indiana and beyond.

As the Presenting Sponsor and Official Health Equity Partner, Lilly will play a pivotal role in elevating the team’s presence in the community, fostering connections among fans, and inspiring a new generation of volleyball enthusiasts.

Indy Ignite is set to make its debut in the Pro Volleyball Federation on Jan. 11 at the Fishers Event Center. The Ignite will play the Orlando Valkyries for their home opener, which will tip off a season of electrifying matches, community events, and affordable family-friendly entertainment.

The Ignite will also announce the partnership tonight at Fishers Event Center during a preseason event for the team’s first season ticket holders—Ignite’s Founders Club. The event will also include Ignite's first public scrimmage on the team’s new court and the debut of their mascot, Pepper.

“Lilly’s support of Indy Ignite underscores their dedication to fostering vibrant, inclusive communities and supporting the growth of women’s sports,” said Mary Kay Huse, President and General Manager of Indy Ignite. “With their support, we’ll expand our reach, giving even more fans an incredible new way to experience sports and celebrate teamwork.”

The partnership with Indy Ignite aligns with Lilly’s broader mission to promote health equity while building strong connections to the community. The collaboration will include co-branded initiatives and opportunities to engage fans both on and off the court.

"We’re so happy to sponsor the Indy Ignite during their inaugural season and support the growth of women’s sports," said Jennifer Oleksiw, Lilly's Global Chief Customer Officer. "As the official health equity partner, we at Lilly look forward to collaborating with the Indy Ignite to help improve health equity in the Indianapolis area through engagement with the community."
