COLUMBUS, Ohio— The Columbus Fury are excited to begin training for their second professional volleyball season by partnering with local education institutions to utilize their athletic training facilities.
Columbus School for Girls will host training camp December 1-23, 2024 as the team prepares for their upcoming season. Additionally, the team will conduct their evening practices throughout the season on the school’s campus.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the Columbus Fury to our campus,” said Camille Seals, Head of School at CSG. “Partnering with the Columbus Fury is an honor and reflects our commitment to fostering community connections within Columbus. As the city's sole major women’s professional sports team, the Fury aligns perfectly with our mission to empower young women to become confident, capable leaders ready to change the world.”
Additionally, the team will hold evening practices throughout the season at CSG beginning January 2.
“As a school with a strong volleyball tradition and consistently competes in the state tournament, we are excited to share our facilities with others as we strive to build a better community,” said Jaime Lawler, Advancement Director at St. Charles.
“We’re proud to partner with both of these distinguished institutions and look forward to building relationships with their school communities,” said David Paitson, Ed.D., Columbus Fury CEO. “We have the privilege to be role models. It’s important to show young people the possibilities ahead of them.”
