Fury to Round Out Team with Draft Picks

COLUMBUS, Ohio—The Columbus Fury will participate in the 2024 Pro Volleyball Federation Draft on Monday November 25, 2024, to be held virtually from the Sonesta Hotel in downtown Columbus at Noon ET. Jen Spicher, PVF Chief Executive Officer, along with other league officials will be on site. Each team will join from a remote location in their respective cities. The Fury will be at a location inside Nationwide Arena where they play their home games.

The seven founding franchises will all participate. The newest team, the Indy Ignite, will get the first overall selection.

The draft will consist of five rounds. The Fury drew the third pick in the second round. The Fury’s first round pick was traded to Atlanta for Tori Dilfer-Stringer mid-season last season.  The Fury will have the 11th, 18th, 32nd, and 36th overall selections. Teams are required to make a selection with each draft pick. The order for each round is outlined in the Pro Volleyball Federation release here

“I’m excited for this upcoming graduating class. There is a lot of talent and depth in every position, it will be interesting to see how everyone makes their selections,” said Fury Head Coach Angel Perez. “We have a clear idea of what we are looking for in the draft and hope to repeat a great draft like last season where we had (Asjia) O’Neal, (Kendall) Kipp and the rookie of the year (Reagan) Cooper among our selections.”

Any player drafted must be at least 18 years old on the day of the draft and be defined as a collegiate athlete. Teams may trade draft picks for players, for other draft picks, for future considerations, or a combination thereof.

Training camp begins December 1.
