COLUMBUS, Ohio— As part of ongoing interactive initiatives with the Columbus area volleyball community, the Columbus Fury will highlight the “Fury Featured High School Match of the Week,” in collaboration with Columbus area high school volleyball programs. The seven-week program will be introduced on Sunday, September 8th.
The program features a weekly polling competition highlighting three potential sites each week for the Fury promotion. The selected match site will be determined via fan vote. The schools have an opportunity to receive the following:
· An on-site appearance at the match with Fury players and representatives.
· 50 Columbus Fury t-shirts will be thrown out at the varsity match.
· A chance to win a Columbus Fury gift bag with exclusive giveaway items!
· Fury head coach Angel Perez's attendance at a practice session for the two participating teams.
Fans will cast votes on the Fury Instagram page and a winner will be announced 24 hours after the poll opens.
However, the two teams competing in the matchup are not the only ones who have the potential to win. Fans who show that they’re following the Fury on social media upon entry can enter to win a free gift bag with Columbus Fury giveaway items! Plus, students who attend the featured match will have the opportunity to catch one of the 50 Columbus Fury t-shirts that will be thrown out.
The seven-week-long series will kick off on Sunday, September 8th, and will run in conjunction with the OHSAA’s 2024 girls’ volleyball season.
The Fury continue to demonstrate their commitment not only to excelling on the court but also to fostering community engagement through initiatives like this one. As they head into their second season of play, they remain dedicated to empowering female athletes across all levels while bringing people together through their shared love of the sport.

“HOW IT WORKS”
- Each week, three featured matches will be announced via. Fury Instagram – this will include the date/time of the polling period
- Fans will need to follow the Fury to be the first to know about the matches and to cast their vote
- The poll will open on the Fury’s Instagram story and will last 24 hours
- Fans can only vote once and only vote on Instagram
- At the end of the 24-hour polling period, the match with the most votes wins
- Note, there may be a slight delay when viewing the percentages on the Instagram story
