Fans heading to Omaha to enjoy the best pro volleyball has to offer will be able to take part in a day of fun and celebration on Friday, May 17 as part of the activities surrounding the culmination of the inaugural season of Pro Volleyball Federation.
The Pro Volleyball Federation Championship semifinals are scheduled for Wednesday, May 15 with the title match on Saturday, May 18 at CHI Health Center in Omaha, Neb. All will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network.
Three teams that have already clinched – the Atlanta Vibe, Omaha Supernovas and Grand Rapids Rise – will be joined by one more squad vying for the league crown. Lemon Fresh Day – the Omaha area’s only true full-time cover band – will headline the league’s Championship Central events on that Friday. The event will come just one day before the playoff finale where the winning team will earn a $1 million dollar bonus.
The band has the distinction of winning “Best of Omaha” all six years that a local band category has existed. In addition, the group was recognized with a first-place finish in the 2023 Omaha Choice Awards and was also named a “Best of Nebraska Wedding Band” for 2021 followed by a runner-up finish in 2022.
Lemon Fresh Day will take the stage on that Friday from 6-9 pm at the Pro Volleyball Federation Championship Central, located at the Capital District just steps from the CHI Health Center in Omaha.
