LAS VEGAS – The Fury (5-11) dropped their sixth-straight match against Vegas (6-12) on Wednesday night at Lee's Family Forum in a 3-0 (18-25, 23-25, )loss.
Set One
Columbus struggled early in the match, falling into a large 20-11 deficit. The Fury began to put some points together and strung together seven more points before ultimately losing the first set. Kaitlyn Hord and Jenaisya Moore tallied three kills each over the first set.
Set Two
The Fury gained their footing heading into the second set and took a commanding 18-12 lead. Unfortunately, Vegas put together a rally to put itself back into contention and finished the set on a five-point run. Kendall Kipp led the team with four kills.
Set Three
Vegas once again controlled the third set as Columbus struggled to gain footing. The Fury had the set tied at 13, but were outscored 12-5 the rest of the way on the way to a 25-18 third set loss. Kipp once again led the team with five kills in the set.
Standout Stats
Megan Courtney Lush dominated from the service line with three service aces. The team tallied five total aces, with one each coming from Moore and Kipp.
