ATLANTA, Ga. (March 20, 2024) – The Atlanta Vibe (8-3) head into Thursday’s match against the Orlando Valkyries (5-7) at the top of the Pro Volleyball Federation and looking for their fifth-straight win. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m. ET on YouTube and on Peachtree Sports Network in Atlanta for the first time this season.
Thursday marks the third time the Vibe and the Valkyries will meet this season, with both of their first two meetings going to five sets, and both in Atlanta’s favor. Setter Marlie Monserez made her first set starts in a match for the Vibe in their first match against Orlando, helping the team pull out wins in the third and fifth sets to take home the win.
In their last meeting, outside hitter Leketor Member-Meneh started and scored 23 points in her season-best performance to date, finishing with 19 kills on 45 attacks (.311 hitting) with two blocks. Monserez also put up season-high records with 47 assists and 17 digs, while outside hitter Leah Edmond notched her second 20-kill match of the season (now has four).
