SAN DIEGO, Calif. (March 1, 2024) – The Atlanta Vibe (4-3) head to San Diego for their first West Coast swing of the 2024 inaugural Pro Volleyball Federation season, facing the Mojo (1-4) on Saturday, March 2 at Viejas Arena. The match will stream live on the league’s YouTube page here at 10:00 p.m. ET (7:00 p.m. PT).
The last time these two teams met, Atlanta swept San Diego in the Vibe’s home opener and the Mojo’s first match of the season. Vibe outside hitter Leah Edmond put down a match-high 16 kills, two aces and two blocks on her way to the PVF Player of the Week honor. Middle blocker Shelly Fanning put up 6 blocks in the sweep, still tied for the most of any Vibe player so far this season.
Edmond’s counterpart Alli Linnehan went down with an injury early in the first set and missed Atlanta’s two following matches. Leketor Member-Meneh stepped into her place in the rotation and finished with a then-season-high 10 digs, 5 kills and an ace.
San Diego’s Temi Thomas-Ailara was two digs shy of a double-double in the match, finishing with 10 kills and 8 digs. The Mojo’s sole win of the season came in a 3-1 decision over the Grand Rapids Rise, the only team the Vibe has given up multiple matches to so far this season.
