Thrill Stumble In Three-Set Defeat To Mojo

HENDERSON, NV - The Vegas Thrill (5-8) dropped a three-set contest to the San Diego Mojo (3-6) on Sunday night at the Dollar Loan Center.


San Diego took the first set in a tightly-contested 25-21 win and followed with another close 25-23 victory in the second frame. San Diego then closed out the match with a 25-16 win in the final set.


Vegas was led offensively by outside hitter Gabby Gonzales 10 kills, while middle blocker Berkeley Oblad and opposite hitter Saskia Hippe each recorded eight.


Leading the back court defense for the Thrill was setter Alisha Glass Childress with nine digs. Outside hitter Khat Bell and Gonzales each tallied eight.


Childress gathered a team-high 37 assists on the night, which continues her streak of at least 30 assists in every match this season.
