COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus Fury (5-7) fell to the Orlando Valkyries (6-8) in straight sets (19-25, 15-25, -25) on Friday night at Nationwide Arena. The Fury were unable to penetrate the block of Orlando as they only tallied 35 kills on a .230 hitting percentage.
Set 1
Columbus started off strong, jumping out to an early 15-12 lead, but couldn't hold it as Orlando went on a nine-point run to take the first set. Reagan Cooper and Asjia O'Neal led the team with six and five kills, respectively, in the first set.
Set 2
The Fury struggled to gain footing in the second set, falling behind 15-5 before the media timeout. Columbus looked to mount a comeback, but it ultimately wouldn't be enough as the Valkyries took the set with a 25-15 win.
Set 3
Columbus played its best volleyball of the match in their early part of the third set, but ultimately couldn't keep pace with the Orlando attack. Outside hitter Megan Courtney-Lush tallied four kills in the final set.
Standout Stats
Nikoleta Perović totaled four kills on 13 attacks and a block in her home debut with the Fury.
Kaitlyn Hord led the Fury with two of the six total blocks for the team.

The Fury will be back in action on Thursday, April 4th against Omaha at 8 p.m. in the Chi Health Center.
