GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (February 17, 2024) – The Atlanta Vibe (4-1) remain at the top of the Pro Volleyball Federation standings as the team heads to Grand Rapids to take on the Rise (2-1) on Sunday, February 18 at 4:00 p.m. ET. The match will stream live on the league’s YouTube page here.
The Vibe hit the road again after a 2-1 homestand, with their only loss in the stretch coming from Grand Rapids (2/9). In their first meeting, the Rise defeated the Vibe in four sets to become the first team to take down then-undefeated Atlanta.
Vibe outside hitter Leah Edmond led Atlanta across the board in the match, picking up a team-leading 18 kills and three blocks to score 21 points – more than any other player on the floor – while setter Tori Stringer picked up a season-best 47 assists in the four-set match. Outside hitter Leketor Member-Meneh earned her first match start of the season, coming in to lead the team with a .242 hitting percentage with 13 kills, 13 digs and an ace.
Symone Abbott led the Rise on offense in the February 9th matchup, finishing with 16 kills on a .333 hitting percentage, while both Kayla Caffey and Marin Grote put up three blocks apiece. After splitting the first two sets with the Vibe, the Rise finished out the next two to finalize the match in four sets.
