Thrill Fall On The Road Against Fury

COLUMBUS, Ohio. - The Vegas Thrill (2-5) lost against the Columbus Fury (3-2) in four-sets (23-25, 25-22, 21-25, 23-25) on Monday night at Nationwide Arena.

Columbus took the first set in a tight 25-23 battle, before Vegas evened the match in a hard-fought 25-22 victory in the second frame. The Fury took the third set with a 25-21 win, then followed with a 25-23 victory in the fourth to secure the match.

The Thrill offensively were led by a 15 kill performance from Hannah Maddux, while three other Vegas players recorded double-figures in kills with Molly McCage (13), Gabby Gonzales (11) and Berkeley Oblad (11).

Setter Alisha Glass Childress dished out a season-best 54 assists in the match, while adding nine digs and four blocks.

Thrill libero Kylie Murr posted a match-high 24 digs in the backcourt, while Maddux collected 19 and Gonzales had 17.

Behind the service line, Maddux led the way with a match-high three aces. Oblad added two, while Saskia Hippe, McCage and Gonzales each recorded one in the match.

Columbus was paced by Reagan Cooper’s match-high 21 kills and Raymariely Santos' 38 assists and 16 digs. Valeria León also tallied 16 digs, while Cooper collected 15 and Samantha Drechsel had 10.
