Roster Update - February 8

The Atlanta Vibe have activated middle blocker Magdalena Jehlářová and waived middle blocker Chiamaka Nwokolo, the organization announced today.

Jehlářová (yell-uh-HAH-shuh-vuh) was selected with the No. 2 overall pick by the San Diego Mojo in the 2023 Inaugural Pro Volleyball Federation Draft, but was traded to Atlanta in a Draft-day trade that sent Ali Bastianelli and Kendra Dahlke to San Diego.

In five seasons at Washington State, Jehlářová was a four-time AVCA All-America selection and was a four-time All-Pac 12 honoree. She left WSU as the Cougars’ all-time blocks leader (769 total) and as a member of the 1,000-kill club (1,253 career), and finished her collegiate career averaging 2.32 kills, 1.4 blocks and 3.31 points per set (539 played).

Originally from Přerov, Czech Republic, Jehlářová has been competing for the Czech Republic National Team since 2017. Her career with her national team is highlighted by a European Golden League tournament Championship in 2019 and a second-place finish in the tournament in 2022.
