Columbus, OH — Pro Volleyball Federation, the premier women’s professional volleyball league in North America, continues its impressive growth in announcing the addition of a group of elite players committed to helping advance the mission of the league, including a U.S. National Team member who won three NCAA volleyball championships and three Pan American Cup medalists who all played in professional leagues overseas.
Jenna Rosenthal, Tori Dilfer Stringer, Ronika Stone, and Morgan Hentz all bring outstanding national and international credentials to Pro Volleyball Federation. Each is expected to play in the league when action kicks off in February 2024, but until then they will expand the Pro Volleyball Federation brand throughout the United States and the world as league ambassadors by connecting with the most talented players and recruiting them to Pro Volleyball Federation.
“Bringing in such high-caliber players to assist us in advancing Pro Volleyball Federation, as well as having them as core players in our league during our inaugural season, is monumental,” said Jen Spicher, Pro Volleyball Federation CEO. “Each of these women are world-class players, but they also bring a passion for helping to develop a real pro league in the United States, and I am extremely excited to see what they will accomplish.”
Pro Volleyball Federation will play in major markets throughout the United States starting in February 2024, providing, for the first time, a new horizon for volleyball players in America to stay home and compete at the highest level while earning a living wage in doing so.
“The mission of Pro Volleyball Federation is to bring real professional volleyball to the United States,” Rosenthal said. “It’s an unprecedented opportunity, and the ceiling is unlimited because we have such a depth of great talent right here in this country.”
Jenna Rosenthal has been with Pro Volleyball Federation since its inception in November 2022. Rosenthal was a 2019 Pan American Cup gold medalist, a three-time AVCA All-East Region member, a three-time First-Team All-Big East Conference member, and Marquette University’s all-time leading blocker. She played professionally overseas in Finland and Germany.
Tori Dilfer Stringer captained Louisville to the 2021 NCAA Women’s Volleyball National Semifinals and was named the 2021 AVCA East Region Player of the Year. The two-time ACC Setter of the Year and two-time AVCA All-American was named to the U.S. Collegiate National Team in 2021 and in 2022 was a silver medalist at the Pan American Cup Final Six. The daughter of Super Bowl champion quarterback Trent Dilfer, she has won both silver and bronze medals during Pan American Cup competition and has also played professionally in Italy.
“To have the opportunity to play high-level professional volleyball at home in the States is a dream come true,” Dilfer Stringer stated. “To be home and to play in front of your friends and family and make a viable income playing the game that you love, it’s incredible and it’s something we haven’t seen before in the U.S.”
Ronika Stone, also a silver medalist at the Pan American Cup Final Six whose professional career includes playing in France, is excited about helping make other world-class American volleyball players aware of the huge splash Pro Volleyball Federation is making on the pro volleyball scene. “Having a league in the U.S. means everything. It means my family and friends can watch me live out my dreams in person. Planned calls because of a time change will be no more. There can finally be a sense of normality and the opportunity for structure and stability in our lives. Most importantly, Pro Volleyball Federation will grow the sport and give young girls more role models who were once just like them.”
The University of Oregon product starred on the collegiate scene in the United States, three times being named All-Pac 12. She was named to the 2019 Pacific North All-Region Honorable Mention team and was a 2018 AVCA Second-Team All-American and a member of the 2016 Pac-12 All-Freshman team before representing her country on the 2017 U.S. Women’s Junior National team during the FIVB U20 World Championships.
Morgan Hentz understands all-too-well the decisions that many great American volleyball players must make upon concluding their college careers. The three-time national champion dominated at Stanford and became a member of the U.S. National Team. Three times she was named the Pac-12 Libero of the Year and AVCA First-Team All-American, while also earning honors as the Pac-12 Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2019 and the co-NCAA Most Outstanding Player in 2018.
“There are many players who decide to quit volleyball after college because they do not want to leave the U.S. and sacrifice many aspects of their lives to keep playing,” Hentz admitted. “Having Pro Volleyball Federation in America gives more volleyball players the chance to continue their playing careers post-college and compete at a very high level.”
Rosenthal, Dilfer Stringer, Stone, and Hentz will be working over the next several months to attract outstanding talent to join them as Real Pro Volleyball players. Pro Volleyball Federation teams will be officially able to sign players this spring. Inaugural season action starts in February 2024 throughout the country.
