  Each player on the Atlanta Vibe has a unique story. Many hail from volleyball powerhouses like California, Texas, and the Midwest, while others are international players. • When does the season start?

  The Pro Volleyball Federation season kicks off in January.

• How many games are there?

  The regular season consists of 28 matches, split between home and away games, providing plenty of opportunities to catch the Vibe in action.

• When are playoffs?

  Playoffs typically begin in May, following the conclusion of the regular season. The best teams from the PVF compete for a chance to claim the championship title.

• How do playoffs work?

  The top teams from the regular season advance to the playoffs, which are single-elimination. The inaugural season had the top four teams compete against one another for the championship title.

• Where are playoff games played?

  The location of the playoff matches has not been declared yet but will presumably be at one of the seven locations within the league.

• Are there watch parties?

  Currently, there are no set watch parties for the Vibe matches yet, but stay tuned on the social media pages for upcoming events and possible watch parties on the horizon.

• Why attend a Vibe game?

  Attending an Atlanta Vibe match is more than just watching a game—it’s an experience. You’ll see world-class athletes compete at the highest level, witness heart-pounding action, and be part of an energetic crowd that makes every moment memorable.

• What are the positions?

  In volleyball, there are six positions: Outside Hitter, Right-Side Hitter, Setter, Libero, Middle Blocker, and Defensive Specialist. Each position plays a critical role in both offense and defense, making for dynamic, fast-paced play.

• What are volleyball game rules? Give me the basics!

  A volleyball match is played best out of five sets, with the first four sets played to 25 points and the fifth set to 15. Teams must win by two points. The objective is to send the ball over the net and ground it on the opponent's side while preventing the same on your own. Basic skills include serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking, and digging.

• What is the volleyball lingo/slang I should know?

  You’ll hear terms like “kill” (an attack that results in an immediate point), “dig” (a defensive save from an opponent’s attack), “ace” (a serve that results in a point without being touched), and “setter dump” (when the setter surprises the opponent with an attack instead of setting the ball).
